The Svastika

‘SWASTIKA’ comes from the Sanskrit word ‘स्वस्तिक'(svastika) which literally means “that which is associated with well-being”

The word and symbol has been mentioned in innumerable Hindu texts and the sacred Vedas. Also found in other ancient off-shoot religions of Hinduism, like Buddhism and Jainism, with variant meanings. Found heavily in ancient European cultures, such as the Ancient Germanic Iron Age, Celts, Armenians, Ireland, Korea etc. Even Native Americans have many swastika motifs on their arts.

The earliest known depiction of the Swastika is from the Ukraine, dated as far back as 10,000BC and carved on Mammoth ivory.
The Swastika (also called a Fylfot or Hakenkreuz) appears on various Germanic Migration Period and Viking Age artifacts, from the 3rd to 9th century, from Denmark, the Gothic spearhead from Brest-Litov, Belarus, Russia to Armenia and the Norse.

African-American Atrocities from 1900 to 1964 | Violent Crimes

[This is a short excerpt of a long list of some cases (not all) of lynchings. In the original source you can see that not only White people lynched blacks, but also, black people lynched their own, due, mostly, for the same crimes than White people lynched them. You can see original sources and everything, if you click the link that I’ll leave you at the end. Original link has them.]

African-American Atrocities from 1900 to 1964

Regarding lynchings… For a brief time in American history lynching a criminal, depending on the nature of the crime, became a common occurrence.  Apparently, people (whites and blacks) felt they had just as much right to enforce the law as the sheriff, as well as operate as judge and jury. Lynchings pretty much died out in the 1930s.  In 1937, eight negroes were lynched.  Two negroes were reported lynched in 1939, three in 1943… and between 1948 and 1950 none were reported lynched.  And between 1951 and 1960, one negro was lynched.

Things to take note of as you read the long, long, long list of unprovoked attacks:

  • Historical events should always be judged in the context of the time period in which those events took place.
  • Virtually every incident where there was a mob action…was first provoked by an act of violence.   
  • White males instantly came to the aid, 100s and even thousands, when a black male attacked a white person (yes, gone are those days – LINK).
  • The maddening effect the black males’ crimes had on the white population at that time (truly shocked me).

Also, in lieu of the wicked shit that blacks do… heck, can you really blame either the Klan or any White person who was pissed off and wanted to do some justice…? Also of note (from original source, not from GM): Regarding the KKK, (whose ideology, I want to stress, I oppose) in my extensive research on black males being lynched from 1900 to 1922,  I could not find a single case where the KKK (“white caps”) was involved in one of those lynchings.  This, admittedly, surprised me.  I was taught in our public school system that the KKK was a terrorizing  network  responsible for most, if not all, of the lynchings of black men.  AGAIN, I could not find one lynching incident reported by the online archived newspapers and which was perpetrated by the KKK.

Negro Burned At The Stake – Attempted To Massacre Entire Family

Coweta, GA : A negro, Samuel “Thomas” Wilkes (AKA Sam Hose), applied for a labor position from Mr. Alfred Cranford. Apparently, it was a ruse from the beginning.  His real motive was to murder the entire Cranford family, including raping  Mrs. Cranford,  then steal what he could and flee the state.  And this is exactly how it played out. Well, almost. After the negro murdered Mr. Cranford,  he charged into the Cranford home and raped Mrs. Cranford.  He then attempted to strangle her to death.  However, Mrs. Cranford survived by playing dead. There was also an unknown reported injury to the Cranford’s child. After Hose was apprehended, he admitted killing Mr. Cranford. He denied, however, raping Mrs. Cranford.  Hose claimed it was another man who did the rape…but he needed just a little time to think about who it was.  He didn’t get it. A mob of 500  Americans seized Sam Hose, chained him to a tree, then many pulled knives and began to chop away at him (ears, groin area, fingers). After this mutilation, Sam Hose, still alive, was set aflame.

American Victims:
Alfred Cranford (attacked with an ax – murdered)
Mattie Cranford (raped – severely beaten and strangled – survived by playing dead)
Cranford Child (Unknown injuries)

Note: A Negro preacher man, Elijah Strickland, was accused by Sam Hose of paying him to kill Mr. Cranford. A mob lynched him.

Chapter 9

During the Revolution of 1905

The Kishinev pogrom produced a devastating and indelible effect on the Jewish community in Russia. Jabotinsky: Kishinev traces “the boundary between two epochs, two psychologies.” The Jews of Russia have not only experienced deep sorrow, but, more profoundly so, “something which had almost made one forget the pain—and that was shame.”1 “If the carnage of Kishinev played a major role in the realisation of our situation, it was because we then realised that the Jews were cowards.”2

We have already mentioned the failure of the police and the awkwardness of the authorities—it was therefore natural that the Jews had asked themselves the question: should we continue to rely on the protection of public authorities? Why not create our own armed militias and defend ourselves weapons in hand? They were incited by a group of prominent public men and writers—Doubnov, Ahad Haam, Rovnitsky, Ben‐Ami, Bialik: “Brothers… cease weeping and begging for mercy. Do not expect any help from your enemies. Only rely on your own arms!”3

These calls “produced on Jewish youth the effect of an electric shock.”4 And in the overheated atmosphere that began to reign after the Kishinev pogrom, “armed groups of self‐defence” quickly saw the light at various locations in the Pale of Settlement. They were generally financed “by the Jewish community”5, and the illegal introduction of weapons from abroad did not pose a problem for the Jews. It was not unusual for these weapons to fall into the hands of very young people.

Official reports do not indicate the existence of armed groups among the Christian population. The government struggled as best it could against the bombs of terrorists. When armed militias began to develop, it saw in them—it is only natural—totally illegal demonstrations, the premises of the civil war, and it banned them by the means and information it had at its disposal. (Also today, the whole world condemns and prohibits “illegal paramilitary formations.”)

A highly operational armed group was formed in Gomel under the direction of the local committee of the Bund. On March 1st, 1903, the latter had organised “festivities” for the anniversary of the “execution of Alexander II.”6 In this city, where Christians and Jews were nearly equal in number7, and the socialist Jews were more than determined, the establishment of armed groups of self‐defence was particularly strong. This was to be noted during the events of August 29th and September 1st 1903—the Gomel pogrom.

According to the findings of the official investigation, the responsibility for the Gomel pogrom is shared: Christians and Jews mutually attacked each other.

Let us take a closer look at the official documents of the time, in this case the indictment of the Gomel affair, based on the police reports drawn up on the spot. (Police reports, which date back to the early twentieth century in Russia, have repeatedly proven their accuracy and their irreproachable precision—and this up to the hustle and bustle of the days of February 1917, up to the moment where the police stations of Petrograd were vested by the insurgents, burnt down—since then, this stream of minutely‐recorded information was cut off, and remained so for us…)
